Just as an experiment of sorts, I have illustrated scenes in chapters 7-9 in my third Yami no Matsuei story, The Imaginary World, using sims. It's more or less something I worked on for my own amusement, in case I want to use the medium for a whole story sometime, but I'm leaving it unlocked in case anyone who enjoyed the story might want to look. ^u^

I've seen other sim stories on LJ with nice, clear screenshots, but these turned out really crappy. If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd appreciate it.

The strangest Warning I've ever felt compelled to add: One visual representation of a kiss between two male sims of consenting age. ^o^

I'm in better spirits than last entry, but I still can't make LJ function for me.

I seem to have found a fad diet pill that actually works, which is weird. I got into a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in ages. Yay! I'm not doing NutriSystem anymore because I can't afford it, but I'm still applying the basic eating habits it taught me, and seem to be doing well from it. And best of all, I've found that my metabolism is working well enough to allow me to eat "real food" every now and then, so long as I don't overdo it. Pistacio Almond ice cream once a week! Life is beautiful.

It feels like mother nature decided to heck with spring and decided to just skip to summer. Which isn't a bad thing except that they don't seem to want to turn on the air conditioner at work, which is pretty rough when you're unloading an enormous truck in a stuffy warehouse. Ick. But I've finally been there long enough to get my insurance, so I need to shut up and count my blessings, really. :P

Things have been looking up lately. I finally got my new laptop, so I can play Sims 2 again, I'm getting a decent amount of hours at work now that the January retail draught is over, and I have an outline for the next installment of my Yami no Matsuei series! Go me! ^u^

So, I went to orientation last night. I was really tired, and it was bit painful to sit still and listen to the usual retail introduction bits for four and a half hours, but there was plenty to make me hopeful.
I'm working early, off the floor and putting up stock. I get to wear jeans, tee shirts and tennis shoes. I'll make fifty cents more than my last job. And the best part? INSURANCE! I'm part-time, so that was well beyond my expectations. Thank God. ^u^
Now if I can just keep from spending my check on clothes I'll never wear...

Lj's been eating my posts and crashing my computer these days. WTF? Is it just me?

Well, I finally adhered to the poll results and dyed my hair red. Am I strange for always thinking of the shower scene in Psycho when all that red dye splashes all over the walls under the tap? Yeah, I thought so. Just checking. It's entirely too red, though. I hope it fades a bit. I mean, would you hire a girl with magenta hair to run your cash register? I would, but I mean, would a sane person?

My mood theme is Kyo Kara Maoh! now. I have way too much time on my hands...

Anyhoo, I've a new chapter in my never-ending Yami no Matsuei fic. I like this one, even if it did get me out of bed at an unGodly hour to write it, the little monster. Not that I've been sleeping that well these days anyway. Why is it when I'm unemployed that I sleep in shifts instead of a rational eight hours straight?
