Okay, so this is what I've been working on for the last few weeks. It's a hair darker than my usual fare, though I wouldn't exactly call it angst. I had planned to post the first chunk to ffnet today, but I'm drawing a blank on a title. So far, any pairing are undecided, and I'm making it up as I go.

I'm writing again...I hope I'm not jinxing myself by mentioning it.
Two small things I'm not sure yet if I'm pleased enough with to share (a brief dialouge b/t Yuki and Tohma that got away from me as I started a very different story, and a ConWolf KKM that wouldn't leave me alone), but at least I'm writing.

Oh, and the fourteenth chapter of ItD is finally being re-written. ^u^

My Audrey went to heaven today.
She's been sick for nearly a year now, and she fought bravely, and stayed with us for as long as she could. She was my best friend, and my family and I were very blessed to have her in our lives for at least a little while. She would have been five on May 4th, Audrey Hepburn's birthday.

My computer froze up from a virus and had to be completely reformatted to factory condition on Christmas Eve. Ouch.
I lost all my Sims2 mods, including hundreds of my own creations for the game, most of my manga scans, quite a few songs, the works.

The most tragic casualties were my stories. Two chapters of ItD, and my first KKM fic, which had reached over 10K words.
Well, I've learned my lesson about procrastinating in backing up my files on the other laptop. Brutally.

I've taken it pretty well though, considering. Oh well, back to the drawing board...

All in all, I guess we're all in store for some very interesting discussions. Thank God. And here I was thinking that the fandom had gotten rather dull. ^u^
I think I'm coming down with strep, but at least I'll have something to entertain me on my sick day at home.

Hmm... It's been about a month, hasn't it? Sorry about any posts, birthdays, or what-not I missed, or likely will. Nothing too interesting by way of explanation, just fading interests, I suppose.

My writer's block let up a little, at least, in the mean-time. I'm going to post the new chapters here to cool before I put them up for the wider public, so any concrit is fine by me. This story is more difficult to write than my usual fare (hence the fact it's been taking me forever to update), so I'm hoping it's not coming out a mess. I'm making it up as I go again, as usual.

Just as an experiment of sorts, I have illustrated scenes in chapters 7-9 in my third Yami no Matsuei story, The Imaginary World, using sims. It's more or less something I worked on for my own amusement, in case I want to use the medium for a whole story sometime, but I'm leaving it unlocked in case anyone who enjoyed the story might want to look. ^u^

I've seen other sim stories on LJ with nice, clear screenshots, but these turned out really crappy. If anyone knows how to fix this, I'd appreciate it.

The strangest Warning I've ever felt compelled to add: One visual representation of a kiss between two male sims of consenting age. ^o^

It's been nearly a year since I finished this story, so here's a refresher (it's not nearly as bad as it sounds out of context here, I hope!):

Despite twelve hours sleep and a six hour work shift crammed in there somewhere, and the fact that I'm the world's slowest reader, I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows at about 3am this morning. God, I'm tired.

So, my greatest hope for DH involved no ship, prediction, or particular wish. What I wanted most urgently was a book that brought back to me the love and wonder I held for Harry Potter and his world. And?
